The Feb. 22 edition of the Andover American, which is distributed in free newsstands around town Wednesday, features Andover Central wrestler Lucas Lee as our “Athlete of the Week.”
Lee, a 132-pound senior, will be helping the Jaguars try to defend their Class 5A title this weekend. He is thankful for the opportunities and relationships that wrestling have given him, he dislikes cutting weight and his favorite movie is “Anchorman.”
Be sure to read our Q&A with Lee, which is only available in the print edition.
Our Student of the Week is Renee Pederson, a senior at Andover High who carries a 3.875 grade-point average. She enjoys math, struggles with English and insists on having the television on when she’s doing homework.
If you have a nomination for either of these, just drop an e-mail to aknapp@andoveramerican.com.
The Andover American print edition can be picked up for free in many locations around town - including the YMCA, Dillons coffee shop, Scooter's, Pink Boa, Curves, Vic's Corn Popper, City Hall, the library, Timbuktu, Stooges, Walgreens, Equity Bank and Butler Community College.
